About

I am a nerd who once tried to breakdance. I move across disciplines, combining academic research to fieldwork. I focus on the impact of new technologies on civil rights. At present, I am most interested in how mass surveillance and data mining dovetail with privacy and equality protection.

After learning about subversive critique (art) and the grammar of power (law), I went to Haiti to work on gender-based violence and criminal defence. I’ve also dabbled in stem-cell innovation policies and addressed extraordinary renditions in an interactive installation.
